The all-girls campus at ICA allows for more opportunities — academic, leadership and athletic — for each student. ICA students express themselves freely and thrive in the school's unique nurturing environment. The best way to see what an all-girls school is like, however, is to visit the ICA campus.
ICA is looking for quality students who demonstrate the capability to handle a rigorous academic program and extracurricular activities and have the maturity to be good employees within our Corporate Work Study Program.
Information packets and application forms are available through our website and at our Open House. You can also request an application packet by contacting the Admissions Office.
Open House is on Saturday, November 13th, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. No pre-registration is necessary for this event, just drop in after 9 am and take one of our on-going tours.
ICA uses a Per Capita Income Guide, provided by the Cristo Rey Network, which requires each family's income to fall within certain guidelines. This allows a student to be considered for acceptance and receive financial aid.
All ICA students wear a professional work attire everyday consisting of a solid color collared blouse, an ICA black vest, solid black pants, and black flat soled shoes.
ICA offers volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, cross country, and pep squad. Please check out the Athletics under Student Life on our website for further information.
Each student is assigned a locker and combination padlock. Lockers are located within designated class hallways; Freshmen have lockers underneath their Senior Big Sister's locker.
A group of four students make up a team to share a full time job position, Monday through Friday. Students rotate work days (see chart below), totaling five full days a month. Work day hours and academic schedules are structured to enable work without students missing classes. The jobs are entry-level work opportunities in professional office settings. To see where ICA students are working, take a look at the school's list of current sponsors.
Students will be asked about their preferences for different job positions. The work opportunity is based on matching a student's interests and skills to an available sponsor's expectations.
All students are chaperoned to and from the work site either by van, BART, or walking. On work days, students begin and end their day at ICA to have more of a connection with the school and for attendance reasons.
Work day hours and academic schedules are structured to enable work without missing classes. Students never miss class time on a work day. When a student works, her entire class goes to work.
The summer before classes begin, students will attend a two-week of intensive job skills training at ICA, called "Camp Rey", to acquire the skills needed for successful corporate experiences. Work-site orientation and training will be provided at the actual job sites.
**Please be mindful that during the Application Process we will cover these and other subjects more thoroughly.
